Dr Yvonne Loh - Board Chairman
Dr Yvonne Loh is a senior lecturer at the Department of Earth Science, University of Ghana. She joined the Department of Earth Science as the first female faculty after 60 years of its existence and holds a PhD in Geology with concentration in Hydrogeology and Hydrochemistry. Her research is focused on hydro chemical characterization of both surface water and ground water systems. She has also conducted other hydrogeological projects which includes assessment of pollution status in water supply aquifers in African cities and also assisted to develop groundwater – monitoring systems in some mine area. She is passionate about solving environmental problems and mentoring females in STEM. She is a member of the following professional bodies: The Ghana Institution of Geoscientists (GhIG), Geological Society of Africa (GSAF), Organization for Women in Sciences for Development (OWSD), Africa Association of Women in Geosciences (AAWG), Ghana Science Association and Women in Mining Ghana.
Adwoa Boaduo - Non Executive Member
Adwoa Boaduo is a professionally registered mining engineer who has operational experience in both surface and underground mining. She is a specialist in the field of mineral economics, underground rock mechanics and surface geotechnical engineering. She has conducted projects in gold, coal, copper, diamond, manganese and platinum commodities; and gained her vast experience by working for mining and consulting firms such as Anglo American, Petra Diamonds, SRK Consulting and currently with Mineral Council, South Africa. She holds master’s degree in Mining Engineering and a PhD candidate at the University of Witwatersrand Johannesburg, South Africa.
Mr. Joseph Kwami Anthonio - Executive Member
Mr. Joseph Kwami Anthonio is a chartered member of the Institute of Logistics and Transport International, UK. He has varied experience in heavy duty equipment as well as materials handling equipment. Due to his vast experience, he offers up-to-point advice on equipment procurement, spare parts ordering/inventory and also provides support on maintenance to ensure lifespan of equipment is prolonged over its expected useful life. He has worked as logistics Coordinator with the United Nations Peacekeeping operations in DR Congo, Sudan and Haiti and holds a degree in Geography and Resources Development as well as a master’s in Economic Policy Management from University of Ghana.
Frank Horton - Executive Member
Frank Horton is an executive armed with decades of experience, knowledge and a strong drive to develop international standards out of mining support services. For some years, he played a senior management role in mining industries across West Africa. As a trained crusher engineer, he has successfully established and managed engineering teams on major Greenfield and Brownfield projects across West Africa. His skills and key competencies relate to the full project lifecycle and maintenance of fixed and mobile equipment alike. Frank is also a mining/mineral analyst with a wide experience in business development in the mining industry. He has led engineering teams to the optimum benefit and is passionate about the development of projects within a sustainable succession plan. He holds PGD in Business Administration, MBA in Global Business & Sustainability and a Business Research Fellow at Swiss Business School, ALTIS-Graduate School of Business & Society and Nobel International Business School respectfully.
